Dr. Cui Guo and colleagues recruited over 380,000 adults (with 842,394 medical examination records) to better understand the combined effects of long-term exposure to fine particulate matter (PM2.5 — these are tiny particles in the air that reduce visibility and cause the air to appear hazy when levels are elevated) and regular exercise on deaths from natural causes in Taiwan.
